@Sweden January 15, 2012 18:39
Please give a warm welcome to the next curator @lastbilslesbian. She starts tomorrow morning.
Bye all!
I believe life is about learning how to live and how to die or, otherwise put: how to truly live in spite of the fact that we’re all going to die. How do you make a meaningful life out of the days and circumstances given to you? What is the right thing do to? When do you feel “alive”"? What is your responsibility to the world? What is the world’s responsibility to you? These kinds of questions I always find intriguing to ask others and myself. Being a minister I live in a context of interpreting life through the passion of Christ – that is, in the story of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, I see a pattern through which I try to creatively understand and make death meaningful in life. Truth however, I believe, will always turn up where I least expect it to. My tweets usually have a somewhat pondering character or are just for fun – sometimes a bit silly.”
Please give a warm welcome to the next curator @lastbilslesbian. She starts tomorrow morning.
Bye all!
@sweden is an extraordinary account for ordinary people. In sum, I think the project is not the least about: live and let live!
Just thinkin, for this being a totally new type of project, there are quite a lot of experts out there knowing how this should be done!
@lisofthenorth Yes, of course, the English ones. :)
(sorry, bad reception)
…as is this week @Sweden. It’s been an amazing adventure and I thank for all the kindness and good spirit! You’ve taught me a lot!
Well, I suppose Christmas is about to end for real then (ref to a tweet in the beginning of the week): http://t.co/DghQls6D
@MontagsOnFire Aah, that’s a relief!
@Jan_Regal I know. Sorry. Welcome back! :)
@Gaby_Chamorro Odenplan is an area some stations away with the tub.
@Gaby_Chamorro Sats Odenplan, Robert Sorensen instructing. The class wasn’t cancelled, but another instructor.
The best dance aerobics class in the city, if you ask me, was cancelled. So I’m reversing the exercise (having coffee and biscotti).
@simonasgarbi :) I’m really not that good of a tourist guide in general. Follow me on @FroekenMossa, I follow back and we’ll get in touch.
Prepositions!! #thingsthatgetmeconfused
@ilPugile Just didn’t want to offend anyone. :)
When I miss NYC too much :) I have a cup of coffee at the café below “the Scraper”, Götgatan Stories. Looking up: http://t.co/WRh1T1E7
@BeechersBrooks Yes, it’s Söder. :) Agree. I support your friend is à student then.
Of course there are a few other tall buildings in Stockholm, but not many; e.g.the TV-tower, Kaknäs, 155 m, Victoria Tower in Kista, 120 m.
Now, this is cute. We call this building “the scraper” (Skrapan, in Swe). Note the definite tense. It’s about 26 fl. http://t.co/IqiXx9e2
@dosespressos Thank you! :)
@smurfatik Just did.
I don’t hashtag a lot myself, forgot about that possibility.
Or perhaps #humanrightsSWE
Please hashtag with #humanrights and then you all can read.
@diabymohamed Yes I just realised. Didn’t know anyone would answer.
I’m trying to RT a lot of your interesting answers…
@womaninsweden Ok. :) I am a dancer. Or used to be before I got injured.
@tilapia @hpettersson Heard of it but have not yet read. It’s my last day today. About to take farewell. ;)
@tilapia @hpettersson Heard of it but have not yet read. It’s my last day today. About to take farewell. ;)
“Equal” refers to human worth.
“Equal” refers to human worth.
When I say “equal” I don’t mean “identical”.
When I say “equal” I don’t mean “identical”.
Just because something is difficult to carry out doesn’t mean that we should stop trying.
@ifrasheed It’s in progress, I would say, like in many other countries.
So, what about human rights then?
@TheAlexandrian How do you feel about human rights then?
@womaninsweden That’s why we have to remind ourselves all the time, in action and in words.
@elektrolito That is, it’s possible for gay couples to marry in our Church.
@Schoebeo @uglybugger Jantelagen. :) An unwritten law saying that you shouldn’t think too much of yourself. I’m not sure it’s typical Swe.
@__Fahda__ That’s what I meant. It’s a shorter way of saying that.
@junrxu Beautiful signs but I don’t understand a thing. :)
@leonissima I know. But we have to remind ourselves about it. All the time.
@elektrolito pro
@ozdh Thank you for telling me! :) Peace!
@sangxia same worth.
@womaninsweden Equal in the sense of worth.
@womaninsweden Actually I do. I respect the work she and her for the work they do. But I would prefer a republic.
We are all born equal. Let us stay that way.
Sorry about the repeat of the word “decide” in a previous tweet. I’ve corrected it.
Goof and good. #thankyouautocorrect
If you decide to just for one day acknowledge what’s good and what’s really working, then you will find a lot.
There is also suffering within. Be compassionate towards yourself too.
And to those of you who believe in God: pray for strength, courage and wisdom.
Still there is suffering around us. I have no other answer to that than: be compassionate, be helpful, make good choices yourself.
If you decide to just for one day decide to notice what’s good and what’s really working, then you will find a lot.
@hieslmair My ordinary account is @FroekenMossa. Will get back to you there if you like.
@slim_swede What? From this account? I haven’t stopped following anyone.
Open-mindedness often shines like a bright flower in a blurry landscape of prejudices.
@wworkergates that would be due to definition, don’t you think?
@the_steve_meme Yes, and at the same time, human being is creative.
@matbeeDOTcom @tothur I didn’t say religion, but spiritual/existential. And of course correlation is just an indication. But interesting.
The terms spiritual and existential don’t automatically refer to religion. No need to worry.
@matbeeDOTcom @tothur no I was referring to the propaganda argument.
@matbeeDOTcom @tothur Not at all, it was a governmental report.
And believe is spelled like this. :)
^
I belive the correct word was concerned, not worried.
I’m really worried about all the anger and cynicism in the world.
@matbeeDOTcom Not at all. It was governmental research.
@darran Aah sorry. I was mistaken. :) The curators are nominated by previous curators, I think.
@LouisDeGuerre It’s all right! ;)
@LouisDeGuerre No development was widely defined.
@darran @notch I have been @Sweden for a week after tomorrow! :)
@aerierahman It was very widely defined, I thought it was all about the ability to deal with existential issues.
@undergroundfox Glad to hear it. Next week I’m back at @FroekenMossa. :)
There. Sending you all good thoughts and wishing you and myself the courage and wisdom to make a difference in the world.
> revealed that there is a connection between the high rate of suicides among teenagers and lack of spritual/existential development.
> a lot of really good work is being done to help people find meaning in life. One of the lecturer actually said that secular research has >
Don’t mind the contemplation. I know some of you are critical about the religious thing, but taken from what I’ve heard this weekend >
@banker_by_day It was a passive choice. :) #tired
Had vague plans to go dancing lindyhop this evening, but somehow I ended up contemplating the encounters from today.
@peterjclay @persephone419 Oki! :)
@HinerangiE How nice!! :)
@persephone419 > home made marmalade with lable saying: minister marmalade. :)
@persephone419 I said that most important to actually share the moment. And a gift could be something personal, like one thing I got: >
@MindfulMaj For foreigners: this conversation in Swedish was about what to give when attending an ordination.
@madhurikumar @rads You find info on www.curatorsofsweden.se
@MindfulMaj > gjord marmelad med en etikett som löd “Prästmarmelad”. Himla mysigt.
@MindfulMaj Att ni kommer är det viktigaste. Vill ni ta med er något så är blommor jättefint att få. Något perdonligt? Jag fick bl a hemma->
@MindfulMaj Förbereda vad menar du?
@MindfulMaj @hallneby Jepp, i morgon också.
@cmbsweden Yes it’s been amazing!
@milbandstra Thank you! :)
@Briemma Can imagine! :) I was ordained in that cathedral too, by a female bishop!
@zeeken A lot of us are!
@noodlepie @sweden wonder too.
If you ever come to Stockholm, if a fan of organ music, you should really listen to organist Mattias Wager. When he plays it’s rock’n roll!
One last pic of a church, interior of the Cath. of Stockholm. Here I held my first sermons ever, in Swe & Eng: http://t.co/EJGaoLSp
Noone goes through life without losing someone or something. Embrace the loser in you.
@thehistoryb0y This week there’s a sheep tweeting itself. :)
@thehistoryb0y There has just been one Bible quote and that’s the motto of the bishop of Stockholm. Fog those who ate interested.
And City Hall, as seen from the conference centre, to the guy who asked for a pic of it: http://t.co/9Kh2akQZ
This is a play clergy wardrobe for children: http://t.co/VrxStRxo
A lot of interesting conversations all around. Personally I’m a bit absentminded today. Clinging to a cup of coffee. :)
@visit_Sweden “@sweden Hi Anna. How do I follow individual curators once they’ve handed over each week?” @secretpilgrim
Hrmpf, do not agree we the things that are being said now. But it’s good that different views are represented.
At another seminar. Wise things are being said. But at the moment I’m admiring the building where we are. Grateful for skilled constructors.
You who wish to know more about my own views on my profession, please read the longer bio at curatorsofsweden.se
Went to bed with wet hair. Looking very funny at the moment after a night’s sleep. Playing with the thought to keep it like that for today.
Welcome, new followers, and thank you for your nice greetings!
@UKSKEPTICS Thank you!
@s1mn Maybe my interpret but The movie is describing bad things happening to a good and serious man; I associate it to Job.
The name of the movie I mentioned earlier is “A Serious Man” and nothing else.
@Bernardtoo Of course!! :) Thanx.
I really recommend the Coen movie A Serious Mind. Some kind of interpretation on the book of Job. Goodnight!
@EefKlaas Not the goatie thing:) We just take the advent stars down or put away the advent electric candlestick. But people do as they like.
But of course people do as they like -about Xmas.
It’s St Knut’s day. That’s why Xmas ends today. Can’t link to Wikipedia at the moment but please check it out.
@pink_lola Well I seem to misunderstand you. I am giving youth answer I have at the moment and then I ask you to respect that.
@pink_lola Even the greatest academics have no really good answer to why people have to suffer. Just that we do.
@pink_lola > the ideal that the priest should have all the answers is outgoing. We rather walk beside people and share questions.
@pink_lola > from some chap and them was happy about that. I see this as something that I myself have to reflect on constantly. And no, >
@pink_lola my experience is that these things take time – years to find a way to live with, I’ve never heard of anyone who got one answer >
@pink_lola I have tried to give you some answers and if you don’t like them perhaps someone else can give you better? @lalunedeux
@pink_lola Sorry didn’t know that @Sweden didn’t follow you back before. Now we do. You said that you wished a DM.
@MontagsOnFire Thank you!
@pink_lola In that case I’m sorry that I misunderstood.
@MontagsOnFire Sorry…:)
@pink_lola You used those words yourself. I just said that these questions cannot be solved in this channel and crisis counselling is not >
@pink_lola So, I repeat, please talk with someone geographically closer to you about these questions. They are important.
@pink_lola No no, this account is just not about crisis counselling. That would be very irresponsible of me. I’m even not aloud to do that.
@pink_lola yes but this is not the best channel for crisis counselling. That should take place in a safe environment.
@pink_lola Well thank you for your serious and important questions. I have to end this conversation now. Wishing you the best.
@pink_lola yes but I think it’s better to discuss this eye to eye
@pink_lola I suggest that you talk with someone closer to you about these things.
@pink_lola My answer is that God weeps with us and has more to do with helping us survive inside. Even Jesus was tortured.
@pink_lola The question you pose is called the teodicé problem – why does evil exist if God is almighty, good and caring?
@pink_lola I hear you. But I dont think I can give you any more answers than I already did. The problem of teodicé IS difficult.
@pink_lola Terrible!
@pink_lola If we could lean on God like a superman we would be even worse in taking responsibility ourselves, I believe.
@pink_lola So what we have to do is listen to our hearts and decide which one we believe in.
@pink_lola In the book you find both views, the one with burning in hell and the one where everyone will at last end up in the bosom of God.
@pink_lola I know. That’s why a theological education takes several years :) It’s all about interpretation.
@pink_lola > It’s us who should prevent all kinds of torture.
@pink_lola Of course there are no simple answers to that. I believe that God is no Santa who does things that we can do ourselves. >
@pink_lola can’t promise that no priest or other church worker threaten with hell in our church, but I certainly hope there are none.
Love seems to be a lot easier when you’re not madly in love with each other.
@EefKlaas aah, interesting, would love to go to Barcelona.
@pink_lola no I don’t deny science and evolution theory, science and religion deal with different issues
@EefKlaas it’s St Knut’s day, there is a post in Wikipedia
@pink_lola Not many at all do in our church, it would be considered as almost child abuse.
@richtextformat maybe tomorrow, I’m freezing…
@pink_lola Sweden is such a small country and in some way I found that debate amusing.
@pink_lola try to focus on creating activities that stimulate their curiosity about life & hopefully make them feel proud about themselves
@MontagsOnFire I only take pics along my so to say normal life this week, left city hall an hour ago, sorry…I’m sure you can google it
@pink_lola I agree about the problem, never liked to be treated that way myself. Try to do otherwise.
@pink_lola it was just an impression, reading the papers at the beginning of the week :)
For Stieg Larsson-fans – Götgatan: http://t.co/pXtng5GY
about what to do with this area of the city, Slussen: http://t.co/mcR8ugVi
The debate I told you about the other day, about artists being left or right wing, in part emanated from a quarrel >
@jonasberring glömde bifoga samma tweet, kom i tweeten därpå ;)
@jonasberring jag går där just nu och en del av våra följare vill se bilder
And this of course is a nice street in Old Town, Gamla Stan: http://t.co/NNyPD0yT
Sorry, forgot the pic (see last tweet): http://t.co/sIccsuaa
This is the tower of the Cathedral of Stockholm. I used to work there during holidays. Maybe I guided some of you up to the top? :)
Btw according to Swedish tradition Christmas is over – from today.
Oops, windy and icy – bad combination.
@Eklandisk No that doesn’t seem to be the case. Thanks for giving me the word treaty, I had forgot it temporarily.
View from dining room. A glimpse of the tower of the City Hall where the Nobel Prize banquet takes place: http://t.co/0XgyG9g5
The Bible qoute was for those of you who are interested in knowing.
“My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of Glory, with respect of persons.” James 2:1
This is our bishop of Stockholm, Most Rev. Eva. She is a very courageous woman and her motto is taken from James 2:1. http://t.co/AF4p8QpO
We’re discussing new versus traditional music in the baptism service.
This workshop is about music in the baptism and the baptism in music.
Discussing with a colleague when the time is right to move on when mingling, without being impolite.
A moment to myself in a nice chair :) http://t.co/jGMPDlI0
The workshop leader refers to •27, not •6, as I mentioned earlier. But in fact it’s already there in the •6, according to the handbook.
The archbishop of Church of Sweden has been very clear about that he wishes the Children’s Convention to be implemented in Swe secular law.
Now I’m at a workshop about the child’s right to spiritual development. Taken from the Children’s Convention article 6, among others.
@womaninsweden We have a lot to deal with, that’s for sure. This conference is about reflection. Action follows!
Lunch! If I get to the table where it’s served, that is. :)
If you’re interested in reading Rev Hammar’s dissertation on the baptism you can google on her name and the Swe word “dop”.
First seminar completed. Rev. and PhD Anna-Karin Hammar spoke of what it is to be human and what it is to be Christian. Very inspiring!
I’m at a church conf about the baptism. It all started with a service that began in darkness and ended in the beauty of water and light.
Entering a service. The lights are more or less out. People keep entering: http://t.co/FRMeHlyl
@nireabucs Haha, not really. Absentmindedness.
@AjlinaCor I suppose so! :)
Overslept. The volume of the alarm clock was too low. Dreamt crazy dreams. Have to be somewhere at ten. In a hurry. Morning psychedelia.
That is, you who, like me, should be sleeping already. The rest of you, hakuna matata! Hope you’re having a good day!
May peace be with you all and bless you with a good night’s sleep!
@mercierln Nice! What brought you here?
@thewaybyelle Yes, some researchers say that this religious indifference is quite unique in the world.
@thewaybyelle Interesting! Tell me more!
@playingwithu Oh, good!
@playingwithu Thank you too for sharing.
@elmadaeu There are no sheep to count.
@playingwithu I’m sorry for her. Has she managed to re-orient towards something else?
@nyp96 No it wasn’t spontaneous. :) But semi-choreographed. Improvisation from a basic theme, like jazz musicians do with melodies.
@playingwithu Long story…It’s not a human right to become a minister and I pondered many years. Was ordained last year!
@mercierln Oh you lived in Lund. I grew up there partly. What did you study?
@mercierln LOL no I can’t sleep for some reason. Have no sheep to count.
@nyp96 I was more or less born into it, but never forced in any way. Discovered it again when I started dancing in churches.
I work with children and try to develop an encouraging environment for them more than a moralistic one. The good in us needs watering.
@mercierln Personnally I sm well treated, but I sometimes feel that I have to prove myself to be worthy in a way that men don’t have to. :)
@namewithanumber I’ve read the headlines about it. Frowned, but then I asked myself, why not? Though maybe cynical to call it religion?
@peterleih Alright. So the baptists are conservative about ordination of women?
@thewaybyelle What are your concerns?
It’s also challenging to find a religious language that is both openminded and traditionally and biblically related.
I’m also challenged by the fact that so many people consider themselves as spiritual but not religious. I find it very interesting.
@scrampbell :)
Personally I’m challenged to integrate my, sort of, artistic background with the church organisation.
> than men to get the same positions as them. We have 13 bishops of which 3 are women.
But, in some regions of Sweden it’s harder than in others to be female priest. Also, as for women in general, we have to be way “better” >
@peterleih I thought it was common with female reverends in the USA. What denomination?
Few are still against female ordination, but the legislation of the church strongly supports female ministry.
Being a female minister in Sweden is most of the time quite easygoing. We’ve had female ministers since 1960.
Still moved by the fact that several people must have made the right choice today passing my front door with the keys left in the key hole.
@Regelvidrig LOL
@NW3Swede ja det är tilltalande. :)
@NW3Swede Haha jo…i biblisk mening är det Jesus som är herden :) Och jag är inte kyrkoherde, “bara” komminister.
@DrTeresaCairns it’s just that I don’t normally tweet that much about what I do, more about things I realise about life and such :)
Tomorrow I will take you to some kind of water festival, I would say, and hopefully let you meet a very brave woman. Nighty, chaps!
@ajsobrante got tired of seeing myself every time I opened my account :)
@Ardeyargull :) thank you
@SwedishDownTown How sweet of you!
@55words :) it’s all right.
Sorry. I enjoy this very much. Just want to put it all back into perspective. :)
@justinCPH haha not really..,
@zklin Thanx! :)
@kzelnio Thank you! :)
@oskarwinberg Tack! :)
I’m just an ordinary tweeter. Remember I am a sheep. :)
@Ardeyargull Thanks! :)
@glennrice No I don’t think they will be. Depends on who gets nominated by the people.
@oskarwinberg Yes :) I’m not even trying to. If that was the task I wouldn’t have agreed doing this.
Well, some of you want pics, others not so many pics, some of you want political statements, others to be amused. Good night, you adorable!
@SarahCorde Agree! I meant that we all have to abstain or loose something.
There is no such thing as having it all.
A friend of mine says that I’ve reached the “looking-for-age”. I’m always looking for something: glasses, keys, calendar….
@naseeral Mitt ordinarie twitterkonto heter @FroekenMossa :)
@naseeral Just!
I egenskap>
@LaLuneDeux No not really, I tweet as I usually do, as much as possible. I happened to be at sea yesterday. Today is grey.
@LaLuneDeux you’re right!
@laurenoostveen Difficult to say, there are a lot…
@persephone419 Church of Sweden “host” views and standpoints similar both to the reformist churches and the Roman Catholic. :)
@SwedishDownTown Thank you! :)
@MashOnEarth thank you! :)
@mmeller But I never understood the argument why I shouldn’t like them. :)
@mmeller I grew up with their music and at that time, the 70′s, there was some kind of debate about them.
People are nice. Too.
@jmatthewhelm None, I don’t drive! ;)
One blessing I wish to share: when I got home today my keys were still in the key hole!
@antischa yes I am but I haven’t seen everything by them. Help me remember!
@antischa here, about a hundred meters from the church where I work. The pic’ s from August last year: http://t.co/o9B6Xtq7
@Syniq It’s true too. In fact as a grown up I’ve come to see how “grown-up” their lyrics often were.
I feel for persons who feel like that (see previous tweet).
These are the best ABBA-lines I know: “I’m nothing special, in fact I’m a bit of a bore. If I tell a joke, you’ve probably heard it before.”
@ribblefizz thank you btw :)
@ribblefizz no no just wanted to be clear that my tweets are oriented from the inside of me, not from requests from the outside.
@alexhorre I’m not that well informed. Perhaps you should ask @tunigomusic ?
FYI: I’ve been told to tweet as I usually do, on my regular account. That’s the thing about the project.
It seems that grief is something that a lot of people wish to talk about more. Last week #sorg (grief) trended on twitter for a day or two.
@persephone419 You can read about the church I work for on www.svenskakyrkan.se/english
@CorinneBrown29 Yes you did! :)
@jackjphays I don’t know…cereals and yoghurt perhaps ;)
A general impression though: many debates seem to emanate from our different use of language.
Opening church press and as always when reading that my mind starts to debate. Won’t bother you with the topics of today though.
Moss! On my way to work: http://t.co/spnZzwTg
The thing I wrote yesterday, about a crowded mind, was supposed to be some kind of joke. ;)
Today I’m back at my usual work place. This is a view from my office (in August): http://t.co/4D55IAXT
A grey day today. Grey is not that bad. It’s easier to focus (for me). And since I got hold of a pair of galoshes, my feet are always dry.
Good night, World! I’m retiring into emptiness and awareness. Sending blessings to any of you who wishes to receive them.
Well, if you visit a Swedish mind by this account, you can imagine how crowded that mind is at the moment.
@persephone419 Church of Sweden, about 70% membership of the population, some of them attend in church, others don’t.
@redtache Krya på dig! It’s Swedish for get well soon.
@pjaykaiser Not sure I can say, the English/American I read is mainly theological literature and sometimes novels.
Since when did you start to take things literally? :) @bohusherde
@cary1961 Aah, that explains it.
@thewaybyelle Sounds terrible. Yes, that’s one of the good things about Sweden.
@SwedishDownTown Nu hänger jag inte riktigt med, har ingen TV själv.
@gbg_magnus @w2best Trevlig tanke! :)
@gbg_magnus @w2best fråga @tommysollen, han vet bäst.
@sweden @swedishdowntown sug, ska det givetvis stå och inte sig :)
@SwedishDownTown ja jag tycker det är intressant att det finns ett sådant sig efter en film i grått med svår plott.
What’s your story today?
Believe I have to catch up with the news of the world.
@CCFarre :)
@SarahCorde @_fifield @syladurantaye lookin forward to the result of this word-search…:)
@cary1961 So you can buy that in London or is it sent to you?
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (movie) seems to be a total hit in Sweden. I have to see it again, was completely absorbed by the scenery.
@WernerToniste LOL
There’s a time for tweeting, there’s a time for silence.
@shotbykim thank you! :)
@_fifield @syladurantaye I’ll RT your post and we’ll see if anyone comes up with a suggestion. There certainly should be a word for that.
@SwedishDownTown Thank you. :)
@chaotickat not sure about that…but the routes are probably similar.
This is quite an extraordinary experience to be part of, tweeting for @Sweden, I mean.
Thank you all for your response to the pics I’ve tweeted today and for your patience on my English.
@womaninsweden Of course there’s a lot if loneliness, social problems here as in many other countries. And the dark and cold…
Ps. Last pic of Stockholm for today that is. :)
One last pic of Stockholm, soon arriving to: http://t.co/eqMrDCsY
And the other side, sorry, didn’t have time to get outdoors. You can see through the glasses of the elevator: http://t.co/wiIH9bHP
As you can see, Oxdjupet, is a very narrow passage.
Passing Oxdjupet, one side: http://t.co/I3EqrslC
Getting closer: http://t.co/OlecZmIT
@periodwardrobe From Åland (belongs to Finland) to Stockholm.
More islands in the sun: http://t.co/IW0L8Fw6

One of the great things about being at sea is the experience of deep trust.
Turning back from Åland. Seems to be a bit windy today. People around me are chewing either food or (sea sickness) gum.
@galapagos0419 Hi!!
@jdalale Hi!! Greetings from Åland (sort of).
@sebasti_an det är lågsäsong, styrdansgolvet var crowded för en stund sen, discogolvet tomt.
Just wish to say, to me personnally I’m more into the wild nature and sea than shopping and such. The trip I’m on is an HR-thing.
@clottalarsson @sebasti_an Ingen dans. Vi sitter mest och pratar.
@sebasti_an tsss…
Of course it’s awesome to be on a big boat, but you hardly feel it move and almost forget being on the ocean. Yet the ocean is the thing!
@AnonOpsSweden @neolaht I love bullshit!
@lindseyrenee He used to be a hairdresser! :)
Sent that tweet too fast, Östersjön means Baltic Sea.
Östersjön by night: http://t.co/2JCOrNd8
@hildgrim So what is it then? :)
Say Hi! to Roger, also a minister and colleague of mine: http://t.co/qdErMR15
Just in case http://t.co/d4XD8l5a
My mistake, sorry! “@EricaNiggol: @sweden Then a minister came and they finished….”
Leaving Stockholm! http://t.co/99dP0xAM
Stretching out in the cabin. Letting toes out of boots, putting away the official me for a while, enjoying like a child to be on a ship!
@blickwechsel Ska försöka ta bilder under kvällens gång.
@aullberg No, it goes to Åland, between Sweden and Finland.
Phu, meeting’s over. Soon we will board the Birka Paradise ship to have dinner and socialize. Probably I will end up at the dance floor.
Oops, ship arriving: http://t.co/ND1nMwo9
@thirzah I guess there are variations! :)
@freejournalism Lovely to know!
I listen to lots of music & techno isn’t on the top of my personal list, but it’s beautiful to see the kids dance & sing of love and peace.
@Cedgell Hello!! :)
Check the techno mass out on www.myspace.com/technomassan
Recently a minister in Sthlm together with the confirmands of the parish, composed a high mass in the techno music style!
That is, even more music than now.
I work with children and have an ambition to integrate music and dance into the activities and services in our district.
Colleagues say hi and sending you blessings: http://t.co/wSgoSy6K
@perishablexcess (I meant jazz dance). You can listen to jazz at Fasching, Stampen, Nybrokajen, The Jazz festival and other random places.
@MashOnEarth Always the yellow and blue bag. :)
@DerFredo Nice to know! :)
@perishablexcess I used to be some kind of dancer, dancing in churches and outdoors, not that much of a showbiz. But I love doing jazz.
@Ardeyargull At the terminal of Birka Paradise.
@HenkAA60 No the Birka Paradise terminal.
@uaberu I’ll get back on this another day.
@perishablexcess www.dn.se. It’s an old debate in a new context. It’s hard to decide what’s left/right in Sweden these days.:)
@tommlie Speaking from the Sthlm perspective I am quite relieved, because in the two winters before we had too much and it was very cold.
@DerFredo yes, correct! Have you been there?
Today my colleagues and I sit in planning meetings about what to do with the resources at hand this year.

@BergLindWall I’m no expert but I think it’s safe to say that most of the people are in the middle and the politicians fight about us.
Waking up. Reading the morning paper. There’s a debate going on about whether artists and people in showbiz “must” be politically left-wing.
@antonbjones you never know how what you say will sound like in someone else’s ears :)
@regelvidrig ditt @ föll bort o denna tweet: https://t.co/ZlgIFYUt
@mattiasubbesen Jo, korrekt uppfattat. Eftersom det finns en biblisk koppling tyckte jag att det var en silliness jag kunde bjuda på. :)
@uaberu Yes, a great deal of it at least. I will walk on one of the streets mentioned in the book today and tweet a pic.
@MimsyYamaguchi Yes, there are many great American comics too.
@TonyLazarus Oh is that so? Is that a national feature? :)
@semanticsdarlin Let me think about that. Remind me if I forget to get back to you.
@JHeaton416 Very! :)
@mercierln Hi! Thank you! I put the avatar together at the Mad Men site, you know, the TV-series.
That is the English silliness of some humourists like Laurie & Fry and mamy more. Not that all the English are silly.
FYI: Sheep has a certain Biblical reference. Sorry! The silly side of me. Love silliness. Particularly the English. Nighty!
@Cantaton I biblisk mening.
@ShantDotMe Thinking of the parable in the New Testsment where we’re all figured as sheep.
I am a sheep.
@jlfxa Must I go to bed before midnight? :)
@jlfxa Amaryllis. In English too I believe.
@ladyhank959 Yes, it’s an Advent star, symbolizing the Betlehem star of the Nativity Story.
@savoryexposure Sorry! :)
Guess many of you have seen one of these before, but anyway: http://t.co/JBilObxc
@JKSthlm Aah! :) Good corner, isn’t it?
@namewithanumber @romanacorreale But! We also have the ability to build, cherish and love :)
@namewithanumber @romanacorreale To me, and quite many others, sin is the disposition in mankind to hurt and destroy. We all do it!
@namewithanumber @romanacorreale to church folks I believe it’s relevant. Personnally though I don’t make lists.
@AngusMacNeilMP no I don’t think it would :)
@RomanaCorreale but is envy really specific for Swedish people?
Being grateful is a good way to end your day. Not in a repressive way, more like a celebration. To life. To the living.
@mfarm2181 the guy said it in a context that meant relationships in which you can relax and be vulnerable @s1mn
I have decided, in my household Christmas ain’t over ’til this has faded away: http://t.co/yzItVoPI
@RomanaCorreale Oh no, wouldn’t dare to do that! Far too complex.
@ajsobrante I will! Glad though that I’m finally fit to exercise again. Been having a bad cough since Nov. The body is amazing!
Well, back from danceaerobics. Exhausted. First class since Nov. Staring in front of me. Looking pretty red! Wondering what to do next. :)
@simonasgarbi how nice to hear!
@_Kavi many exercise indoors, I don’t think day light hours matters that much…but perhaps they do?
@fedEpop :)
@55words No I don’t think so. I have one because I work with people, a good reason to take care of what’s inside yourself too.
People, don’t worry, I won’ t tweet as much as today the rest of the week. Today is about getting into it, into a new channel. Relax!
In June, July and August many Swedes have their vacation, or part of their vacation, so after the summer holidays we begin a new life. ;)
@_Kavi exactly :)
@_Kavi after summer holidays, we all begin a new life then ;)
Very crowded at the gym. Same thing every Janyary and September.
Will get back to you about the soft places. Bye for now!
@s1mn heard an American say it like that…hm….
@jlfxa www.stallet.st/
@jlfxa www.stallet.st/
@jlfxa well we have Stallet, where you can listen to and sometimes dance to traditional Swedish music.

So what do the Swedes have for lunch? Don’t know. This one however is having green pea soup with horseradish. Beautiful, simple and tasty!

When I work with different kinds of speaches and social concepts, I like being at Gilda’s for example, and see actual people all around.

I don’t always tweet this frequent. When I have services, meetings and such I of course don’t have the time and cannot say much at all.

I don’t get why I don’t sort the different garbage at home. Instead I run back and forth between the different containers.

At the recycling station they accept glass, metal, plastics and batteries.
First of all: the weekly tour to the recycling station: http://t.co/g01pNVm7
@RxOliver I happened to see your tweet now among all the replies, there are quite many of them, I’ll try to answer.
I really don’t see you as tourists, I see you as people.
Note: I don’t get along with the “auto correct” of my cell phone very well and loose a word or two here and there.
Before noon I intend to write a memo about in what way me and my colleagues wish to work with the Children’s Convention (UNICEF).
At the end of the week I go to a festival of the diocese. Will tell you more about that later. So I have no services this week in church.
@madmaxly there are many, each for every mood.
@AiglosMP no unfortunately not.
But the city is in my mind and mind in the city so there will be both. Now: breakfast! See you soon!
I guess this account is not just about seeing the city, more like visiting a Swede’s mind. :)
The things I show you root from an inner urge to “show the world”, and that could be a friend, a stranger or you. I love living here.
Well I’m an ambitious person. We’ll see what happens.
In my free time I move around mainly on Södermalm, or Söder, so that’s where we will be this week.
@cilice of course! :)
@ShantDotMe promise that if I see any I will tweet pics of them :)
I live on Södermalm (ö as in Goethe), one of the islands in the city.
@scarydan certainly! :)
On Wednesday I will show you some of the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm and at the end of the week I’ll be at some kind of festival.
I’m sorry to say: I have no sheep or lambs.
Just remembered that some hosts before me also live nearby the city. Sorry ’bout that.
So I’ll take you with me this week every where I go, well almost, and give you some glimpses of life in Stockholm.
I certainly hope that there’ll be more hosts on this account living in Stockholm, because I won’t be able to show you more than some sides.
But of course it will be slightly different as I have the honour to show you a little of the capital of Sweden: Stockholm.
Been thinkin about what to do with this week. I’ve been told to tweet as usual and if course I’ll try to do that.
So, now what? I used to guide in a cathedral during my studies. You must be the greatest touristgroup ever!
Thank you for your warm welcoming!
Good mornin, World! I’m Anna and will be @Sweden this week.
