Lina Rudin
was @Sweden (2012-05-21 to 2012-05-27)

My name is Lina Rudin. I am 26 years old and I live in the very south of Sweden (a fabulous part of the country!). When I am not tweeting as @Sweden you can find me at @LinaRudin.

I work as a communication coordinator for the city of Lund. Previously, I have worked at IKEA, in a tourist office, and at a mill, among other places. I have also spent almost five years at Lund University, studying marketing and business administration. As you might notice, I am very fond of the city of Lund. It is an old town, famous for its university and the cozy city centre. You should definitely come and visit.

I am passionate about communication, scouting, and travelling. I have so far been to 23 countries and had the chance to experience many different and interesting views on as well as prejudices about my home country. While I am @Sweden I will do my best to answer any questions you might have and tell you about my view on Sweden.

The South of Sweden really blossoms at this time of year and I am looking forward to sharing it with you.

@syzygy I’ve met the King a couple of times on different scout events, but I’ve never witnessed the opening of the parliament. Good for you!

Realizing that I won’t be able to answer all the mentions from yesterday. Still about 9 hours back in replies and I don’t have all night :(

When I’ve listened to a crying baby one hour on a train and I have three more hours to go. Then I do not like babies, at all.

Thanks for all comments, votes, retweets… I wished I could thank you all but I can’t really keep up :)

Feel free to ask questions if you want to know anything about scouting in Sweden or globally. I (or we) will try to answer. Always prepared!

Dear Swedish citizens. Please do not forget to use sunblock. It has been a long winter and your skin is not used to this amount of sun.

Find it interesting when people have left their home with just the clothes they’re wearing. Brave or stupid? The weather can change quickly.

Catching up with an old collegue from Ikea, at Tegnérs. Great place; soup, salad, main course and coffee for around 80 SEK at lunch #Lund

I’m going to Stockholm on Friday. There’s been quite many Swedes from Sthlm on this account. Is there anything they have missed to tell you?

@Sweden May 23, 2012 14:01

Saw a man laying on the street, possibly passed out. We were calling for ambulance when we were told it was a performance. Stupid idea!

I get a little bit angry each time I realize that my phone has lost its Internet connection. Sweden 2012: Let’s get in Internet everywhere.

I am so happy being a scout, these warm days. As a scout I learned to dress in several layers to adjust to temperature during the day.

What many Swedes usually have at home… crisp bread, lingonberry jam, Swedish caviar, ketchup, butter, potatoes and coffee of course.

@Sweden May 21, 2012 20:29

I confirm: Swedes always have milk at home ;). Many Swedes also have a plant of chives (or similar) and a can of “sill”. Swedes, what else?

Time to leave work for today. I will try to go for a walk up a hill now to hopefully be able to take some more nice pictures for you.

@SirWB I live in a small town called Hörby & I work in the beautiful city of Lund (@lundskommun). I tend to move around in the Skåne area :)

Let me start by saying, I can’t please everyone. Feedback is welcome but if I would try to make everyone happy this would not be fun at all.
