Aleksandra Boscanin

was @sweden 2016-01-18 to 2016-01-25

I am Aleksandra! Born 1994 in Karlskoga but raised in Katrineholm – which actually won an award for being the most boring town in Sweden.

Left my home town a few years ago to study in the least boring city of Sweden: Stockholm.

I am studying computer science as well as political science. I am also active in politics and believe in freedom, love and capitalism.

Find me on Twitter as @aboscanin.

Now I want us to take each other's hands and sing:

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 9:45 p.m.

Thanks to everyone who showed me support this week! 💙 Follow @aboscanin for more freedom, love and capitalism!

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 9:38 p.m.

Relax, I'm just kidding. Next week's @sweden will be @SuzanHLindberg!

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 9:29 p.m.

I'm gonna do this "enjoy capitalism"-thing all over again. Woop woop! 🎉

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 9:27 p.m.! Fun, right?

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 9:26 p.m.

Next week's @sweden will be...

None of them should count when it comes to how you get treated by authorities.

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 5:13 p.m.

At computer science it is about 10 %

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 4:36 p.m.

Also: authorities should not treat people differently based on gender.

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 4:33 p.m.

I think it would be good if more women studied IT but such ideas are counterproductive since they are reinforcing stereotypes.

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 4:23 p.m.

The Digitalisation Commisson suggested that women that study IT should get study debts cleared. Thankfully they didn't receive much support.

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 12:28 p.m.

I often get invited to tech events only for women. l went once to see what it was like. Plot twist: none of the speakers worked with tech.

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 12:14 p.m.

I didn't feel odd at all until people started to treat me like an exotic animal at a zoo.

@sweden Jan. 24, 2016, 12:04 p.m.

The hardest thing about studying computer science as a woman is that people often ask how it is to study computer science as a woman.

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 10:42 p.m.

The Moderate Party is the biggest one according to survey by @SvD/SIFO. I hope to see @KinbergBatra as PM 2018, or before! #myownopinion

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 9:28 p.m.

Celebrating my friend @CarlGoransson who just gratuated from law school. Well done, Carl! 🎉

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 1:30 p.m.

Sweden has been at peace for so long that we now take freedom for granted. But freedom isn't free.

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 1:22 p.m.

Their cause is ours. Sweden should support France more in the fight against terrorism.

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 1:13 p.m.

Speaking of beautiful Swedish things: We have some really nice airplanes. Such a shame that we didn't want to support France with them. #JAS

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 1:05 p.m.

@kvanitet There is a lot of them! Especially since I spelled it wrong the first time. Shame on me. 🙊

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 12:59 p.m.

'Kontrapropositionsvotering' has actually been nominated as one of the most beautiful Swedish words.

@sweden Jan. 23, 2016, 12:57 p.m.

Soon time for an annual meeting and some 'kontropropositionsvoteringar'.

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 9:31 p.m.

What I'm not fine with is things as derogatory terms and actual threats. @chilldivine

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:46 a.m.

I never said questioning or disagreeing is the same as tolerance, I'm perfectly fine with that.

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:44 a.m.

Narrow-minded to think that those who disagree with you are either trolls or stupid.

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:37 a.m.

@i_anic Yeah because if you don't agree with someone it must mean they are a troll :)

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:34 a.m.

Which views are indefensible according to you? Mine?

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:28 a.m.

I like Rubio too. It's a hard choice.

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:25 a.m.

I'm not sure. Probably Jeb Bush or Rand Paul.

@sweden Jan. 22, 2016, 8:13 a.m.

@Bookmanfilm Just a suggestion, but people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

MPs are always on duty but there are votings in the Chamber only Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 11:33 p.m.

More like 200 years of "neutrality".

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 11 p.m.

I think it would be good for Sweden to join @NATO.

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 10:22 p.m.

You don't seem to enjoy my pictures so I guess I'll just continue with the political stuff. Why change a winning concept? ;)

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 8:37 p.m.

MPs who do not live in Stockholm usually go back to their hometowns on Thursdays so it's not much people here now.

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 6:21 p.m.

Didn't manage to turn the light on in the Chamber.

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 5:30 p.m.

On my way to the Parliment for a meeting about IT!

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 3:46 p.m.

Haha, it was a talk and not a negotiation. I like the comparison though ;)

@sweden Jan. 21, 2016, 2:10 p.m.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:59 p.m.

Yes. To be clear: I want Sweden to introduce tuition fees and reduce taxes.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:56 p.m.

It's difficult to not make things sound black and white when you only have 140 characters. But I get your point.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:52 p.m.

@RaymondSouthorn Thank you, I wish more political opponents could be as nice as you!

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:46 p.m.

No, Sweden is my home. I'd rather stay and try to change the things I don't like.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:34 p.m.

I know tax payers have to pay, that's why I want to introduce tuition fees instead.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:08 p.m.

The tuition is free of charge. Most Swedish students take a loan to cover the expenses of living.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1 p.m.

Thanks for the information but i am already very well aware of that since I got my own study debt.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 12:49 p.m.

It should be possible to take a loan for tuition fees. #myownopinion

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 12:06 p.m.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 10:28 a.m.

New year in Sweden means new tax increases.

@sweden Jan. 20, 2016, 1:13 a.m.

It is possible but why should I? I don't want to be associated with opinions I don't have.

@sweden Jan. 19, 2016, 8:38 a.m.

I don't need to call myself a feminist to be pro gender equality. The important thing is what you believe in and not what you call yourself.

The police should not let political opinions influence their work. That is the foundation of a civilised society with rule of the law.
